Salt Papi ready to make three key improvements before fighting UFC legend

Salt Papi is aware of the key changes that need to be made before the biggest fight of his Misfits Boxing career.

The Tik Tok star will return to the ring tonight, live on DAZN PPV, when he faces UFC legend Tony Ferguson at Misfits 22: Ring of Thrones.

Ferguson, a former UFC interim lightweight champion, made a name for himself by being a brawler inside the Octagon and he will be looking to bring this style to the boxing ring against an opponent who is not afraid to let his hands go. 

In 2023, Salt Papi suffered back-to-back losses to Anthony Taylor and Slim Albaher, but he has since returned to winning ways with knockout wins over Amadeusz Ferrari and King Kenny which has set him up for this potentially career-defining matchup. 

Speaking to DAZN ahead of the bout, Salt Papi was honest about his flaws which may have proved to be stumbling blocks in his boxing career. 

"Being too cocky in the ring, playing too much, not focusing on winning," Salt Papi said.

"What matters to me is winning."

This new mindset has brought a new sense of confidence to Salt Papi who believes he can make a statement against Ferguson. 

"I believe I’ll stop him," Salt Papi responded when asked to make a prediction.

"I have the one-punch knockout power, I can box really well."

Tony Ferguson vs Salt Papi features on a stacked Misfits card which sees Darren Till and former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold meet in the main event.
