The end of 2025 is right around the corner, but the Premier League is not slowing down as the festive fixtures deliver a hectic stream of action to football fans everywhere.
Matchweek 18 featured 10 more matches of the best that England's top tier has to offer, with multiple streaks — both winning and losing — being extended.
We try to make sense of it all in the latest Power Rankings, which are not meant to look at the overall picture, but rather to provide a snapshot based on current form, strength of opposition, and other factors. As always, these rankings are based on Premier League play only.
Here are DAZN News' Power Rankings after Matchweek 18.

1. Manchester City (—)
The Sky Blues stay on top after their win at Nottingham Forest, which is their sixth on the bounce.
Next match: Jan 1 at Sunderland
2. Aston Villa (—)
It took some Ollie Watkins heroics, but Villa kept their historic winning streak alive against Chelsea.
Next match: Dec. 30 at Arsenal
3. Arsenal (—)
The Gunners have had to grind out results lately, but they just keep doing so.
Next match: Dec. 30 vs. Aston Villa
4. Liverpool (▲1)
Look who's knocking at the door of the top three after their epic collapse earlier this season. The Reds are unbeaten in six PL matches and have won three in a row.
Next match: Jan. 1 vs. Leeds United
5. Brentford (▲3)
A big win over Bournemouth makes the Bees undefeated in three games, with their last two resulting in victory.
Next match: Jan. 1 vs. Tottenham
6. Chelsea (▼2)
A second-half collapse robbed them of the opportunity to end Villa's winning run. Chelsea have just one win in five.
Next match: Dec. 30 vs. Bournemouth
7. Newcastle (▼1)
Their narrow loss at Old Trafford bumps them slightly down.
Next match: Dec. 30 at Burnley
8. Everton (▲1)
If it takes a bore draw at Burnley to end a losing skid then so be it.
Next match: Dec. 30 at Nottingham Forest
9. Fulham (▲3)
The Cottagers have won three consecutive matches, with their latest victory coming at the hands of West Ham.
Next match: Jan. 1 at Crystal Palace
10. Leeds United (—)
Unbeaten in five. The turnaround continues.
Next match: Jan. 1 at Liverpool
11. Tottenham (▲4)
A nice jump for Spurs after they were boosted to victory by a teenager scoring his first-ever professional goal.
Next match: Jan. 1 at Brentford
12. Manchester United (▼1)
The Red Devils will need to do more than scrape past Newcastle at home in order to climb these rankings.
Next match: Dec. 30 vs. Wolves
13. Crystal Palace (▼6)
The biggest losers of Matchweek 18, Palace have suffered back-to-back-to-back defeats after falling to Tottenham.
Next match: Jan. 1 vs. Fulham
14. Nottingham Forest (▼1)
There's no shame in losing by one to Man City, but Forest don't have much room for a prolonged run of defeats.
Next match: Dec. 30 vs. Everton
15. Brighton (▲3)
The Seagulls fell to Arsenal but benefit from other clubs dropping below them.
Next match: Dec. 30 at West Ham
16. West Ham (▼2)
The Hammers are losers of three straight and staring relegation in the face. It's still early enough to turn things around, though.
Next match: Dec. 30 vs. Brighton
17. Sunderland (▼1)
As I stated last week, the Black Cats are the least convincing side in top seven of the Premier League standings, and their 1-1 home draw with Leeds did little to convince me otherwise.
Next match: Jan. 1 vs. Manchester City
18. Burnley (▼1)
They've stopped losing every week. Now they're drawing every week. Progress?
Next match: Dec. 30 vs. Newcastle
19. Bournemouth (—)
The Cherries were pummeled by Brentford and are now winless in nine. Good things Wolves are around to prop them up.
Next match: Dec. 30 at Chelsea
20. Wolves (—)
What more is there to say at this point? Wolves are chasing history.
Next match: Dec. 30 at Manchester United
