David Benavidez will be a keen spectator when Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol clash for a second time later this month .
On Feb 22, live on DAZN, light-heavyweight glory will be on the line as Beterbiev defends all four world titles against the man he beat last October.
In one of 2024’s best fights, Beterbiev’s relentless aggression proved the deciding factor over Bivol as he maintained his unbeaten record and inflicted a first loss on his foe.
Four months on, the pair are set to collide again at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia, and the eyes of the world will be watching.
Benavidez, fairly new to 175lbs, is desperate to test himself against the division's best fighters as well as expressing a desire to face Canelo Alvarez .
Earlier this month, Benavidez enhanced his credentials when he climbed off the floor to outpoint David Morrell in a brutal encounte r.
Now focusing on bigger prizes, Benavidez is right at the front of the line when it comes to challenging for the light-heavyweight titles, but who would he prefer to face?
“I would pick Bivol because Bivol beat Canelo,” said Benavidez when making an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show .
“When I beat Bivol, that’ll make my case that I’m better than Canelo.”
