Dave Allen names the biggest win of his career, and it's not the Johnny Fisher knockout

For British heavyweight Dave Allen, his knockout win over Johnny Fisher this past weekend is not the biggest success of his career. Instead it's his clash with Lucas Browne in 2019.

Following a thrilling first fight last December in Riyadh, which Fisher won by split decision, the pair went head-to-head at London's Copper Box Arena to settle the score.

Allen did exactly that in round five with a right hand which knocked down 'The Romford Bull'.

After Fisher met the referee's count, Allen continued his assault and after a barrage to the body, a left hook from Allen laid Fisher out cold on the ring canvas.

It would not be a surprise if Allen classed this victory as the biggest of his boxing career so far, however, it was a night at London's O2 Arena which he will hold in higher esteem.

"I don’t think it will top the Lucas Browne fight for me personally," Allen said during an interview on DAZN's Ariel x Ade: The Boxing Show

"I’m from Doncaster, which is a little town up north, not the most glamorous place and at 27 I headlined the biggest arena in the UK. Beat a guy that held a version of the world title.

"So, for a kid at 27, and at 27 my life was pretty hectic, and to headline the O2, a kid from a little village three or four hours up north, I don’t think I’ll ever top it really.

"I was really proud of it."

When Allen and Browne met in April 2019, 'The White Rhino' made light work of his Australian with a left to the body in round three being enough to render the former WBA 'regular' heavyweight champion unable to continue.
