The next stage of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's career has been set, and it's a big one.
On February 7, it was announced by His Excellency Turki Alalshikh that the Mexican has signed a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season, which aligns Alvarez with one of boxing's biggest promotional powerhouses.
To the delight of many, this agreement will have silenced any talks of a fight with Jake Paul as Alvarez looks to cement his legacy as a boxing great.
Here, DAZN News takes a look at the four perfect opponents for Alvarez in this exciting new chapter.

If there is one accolade which will no doubt be on Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's mind, it's becoming a two-time undisputed champion at super middleweight.
Once a ruler of the 168lb division with all four belts, Alvarez decided to not face IBF mandatory challenger William Scull in 2024, which led to him being stripped of the red and gold belt.
Scull has since won the IBF super middleweight title after beating Vladimir Shishkin in October, and is yet to announce his next move.
Legacy means a lot to Alvarez. So, if a chance presents itself to become an undisputed champion once more, there is no doubt he will grasp it with both hands to continue to add to what is already a glittering boxing CV.

A fight between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Terence Crawford appears to be all but confirmed for September following the latter's reaction to the news of the Riyadh Season deal.
Alvarez vs Crawford is a fight which would bring the boxing world to a standstill with two of this generation's greatest boxers going head-to-head.
Supposedly scheduled for September in Las Vegas, it will be intriguing to see how Crawford will fare as he moves up two weight divisions after winning a world title at super welterweight in August.

If there is one thing His Excellency Turki Alalshikh can do, it's make the fights boxing fans want to see.
One of those which fans have been craving is Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs David Benavidez, albeit it's likely that if this contest was to happen, it would not be at super middleweight.
Benavidez has become a force at light heavyweight and beat David Morrell on February 1 to become a mandatory challenger for the winner of the undisputed light heavyweight title rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol on February 22, which will be live on DAZN PPV.
Alvarez has always been open to the idea of returning to light heavyweight, and while it may not be for a world title, a long-awaited clash with Benavidez will not only settle a long-running rivalry, it will also be a contest worthy of the stage which Riyadh Season provides.

Now this could be seen as 'cheating' with this list including two fighters, taking the total number of opponents to five, but Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will have a keen eye on this rematch.
Alvarez faced Dmitry Bivol at light heavyweight in 2022, and lost by unanimous decision, and has since expressed his desire to take on Bivol once more in an attempt to get revenge.
Bivol has since gone on to face Artur Beterbiev for the undisputed title at 175lbs, and came up short in October, and will take on Beterbiev in a rematch on February 22 live on DAZN PPV.
If the second meeting between Beterbiev and Bivol is another close encounter, then expect a trilogy.
But regardless of the result, Alvarez will not be too far away from another light heavyweight title charge, with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh known for pitting generational talents against each other, if moves up or down the weight divisions are realistic.
