Julio Cesar Chavez is extremely confident that his son will be victorious when he collides with Jake Paul this summer .
The pair will meet on June 28, live on DAZN , and Chavez Jr will be the second consecutive former world champion that Paul has faced.
In Chavez Jr, Paul is facing a fighter who was once feared in the middleweight division where he reigned as world champion.
Chavez Jr shared the ring with a number of quality operators, and he almost registered a major win over Sergio Martinez back in 2012.
In recent times, Chavez Jr has endured some tough losses, most notably against former UFC star, Anderson Silva , and defeat against Paul could be costly for future opportunities.
Chavez Sr, one of boxing’s greatest ever fighters, believes his son can get the job done when they meet next month and he has had his say on what could go down.
“I’ve never seen him train like this, he’s very focused. With all due respect to Jake Paul, there is no way that Jake Paul can beat my son,” said Chavez, who was successful in his first 87 pro fights, when speaking to the media.
“All fights are difficult. Jake Paul is young and strong, but he’s never faced a fighter like my son. I would’ve given Mike Tyson a better fight. He didn’t throw one punch the whole fight. This time is different. This time, he’s going to get fucked up.”
