Two pound-for-pound superstars will collide on January 31 as Teofimo Lopez defends his super-lightweight world title against Shakur Stevenson in New York City.
Both fighters have registered impressive wins on their journey to this point as they have each moved past big names to enhance their respective ledgers.
Here, DAZN News looks at the best wins of Lopez and Stevenson.

The victory that took Teofimo Lopez from world champion to one of boxing’s best fighters as he produced a career best performance to outpoint the brilliant Vasiliy Lomachenko.
The bigger man, Lopez upset the odds as he used his size and jab to give himself a commanding lead over the magical Ukrainian in front of no fans during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Lomachenko briefly rallied in the closing stages, but Lopez was too good over the 12 rounds and took a wide, and deserved, points decision.
Seven months after capturing super-featherweight honours against Jamel Herring, Stevenson would feature in a unification bout against tough Mexican, Oscar Valdez.
When many expected Stevenson to receive a stern test, he instead turned in a stunning performance to drop Valdez before winning big on the scorecards to become unified champion.
Almost two years after losing to George Kambosos in one of the biggest shocks of the year, Lopez was a fighter with a point to prove after several average performances.
In Josh Taylor, Lopez was facing an unbeaten star who had been undisputed champion, but Lopez ignored those credentials to become world champion for a second time at 140lbs.
Controlled from the outset, Lopez took control of the contest early and dominating for large portions of the contest, he put his foot down in the final stages trying to score a stoppage before being handed the verdict by the ringside judges.
Opposed by a fighter known for his relentless style and big power, Shakur Stevenson had to be switched on throughout when he faced William Zepeda in 2025.
The Mexican fighter moved forward with intent throughout, but Stevenson had an answer more often than not as he ran out a big winner to retain his world lightweight title.
Lopez’s first crack at a world title came in 2019 and he demonstrated just how powerful he is capable of being as he destroyed Richard Commey in two rounds.
New York came out to support Lopez, and he left his home fans feeling good as jumped on Commey in the second session and ended matters early to prove that he is a world level operator.
