Ryan Garcia has shared the ring with both Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis, but who does he think hits hardest?
In 2023, Garcia and Davis took part in one of the year’s biggest fights as they settled a longstanding grudge that had seen both fighters take several swipes.
When the action finally got underway, it was Davis who showed himself to be the better fighter on the night as he scored an impressive stoppage courtesy of a quality body shot.
The celebrations were short-lived when it emerged Garcia had failed a drug test and the result was later changed to a ‘No Contest’, adding another layer to the toxic Garcia/Haney rivalry.
On May 2, Garcia and Haney will feature on the same show , live on DAZN , as they both aim to shine bright in Times Square.
Garcia will be opposed by Rolly Romero while Haney is set to have his hands full with former world champion, Jose Ramirez.
Victory for both is intended to set up another showdown later this year, and although Garcia endured a far tougher night against Davis than Haney, it is the latter he credits of getting his attention more.
“Haney caught me, Gervonta I didn’t really [feel anything]. It wasn’t a hard fight I was just weak,” said Garcia when speaking on both fighters .
“It’s not a hard fight for me. You guys can pull up the picture of me how I looked for Tank and how I looked for Haney. I would beat Gervonta Davis worse than I beat Devin Haney.”
