Anthony Cacace believes that he is "living in dreamland" with his professional career after he saw off Leigh Wood with a ninth-round stoppage in Nottingham.
The Northern Irishman extended his record to 24-1 following his decision to vacate the IBF super featherweight title in pursuit of bigger fight nights and chances.
In a slugfest encounter at the Motorpoint Arena, Cacace downed home favourite Wood, on the latter's first fight since 2023, to further underline his reputation.
Now, with several major scalps under his belt, including former world champions Joe Cordina and Josh Warrington, the star does not intend to slow down.
"We're living in dreamland compared to two years," he said. "I don't know if I deserve this or not but it's something very special and I love it. Everyone I hit, they're hurt.

"No disrespect to him because he's a gentleman. I don't know if I fought the best Leigh Wood tonight, but I fought Leigh Wood. He's a two-time world champion.
"It was the fight he was asking for. I'm going to enjoy a couple of months off with the kids and the missus. They put up with all this. They all deserve a medal!"
Cacace went firmly into enemy territory, but admitted he did not find a vociferous crowd hostile to his performance, underlining it as part of the pinch-me sensation he has.
"It was a new experience and I enjoyed it," he added. "I wouldn't mind doing that everytime. Mental, isn't it? Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd be where I'm at.
"I can't stop now. I keep knocking them over. I don't have many miles on the clock, and I guess that is a blessing in disguise. I appreciate where I'm sitting now."
