Chris Eubank Jr. claims Conor Benn 'deserved the embarrassment' of egg attack
Chris Eubank Jr. showed no remorse for his infamous attack on Conor Benn earlier this week, telling the media on Thursday that Benn "deserved" to be slapped in the face with an egg.
Eubank and Benn are less than two months away from a mega-fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, with the build-up to their anticipated April 26 bout officially starting this week with a pair of press conferences.
Tuesday's kick-off event in Manchester made headlines around the world after Eubank struck his rival across the face with an egg, with the item chosen specifically as a reference to Benn's 2023 suspension following adverse test findings that cancelled the fighters' originally scheduled bout that year.

An independent report by the WBC stated in early 2023 that the adverse findings could have been caused by a "highly elevated consumption" of eggs, with Benn denying any intentional doping, and in November 2024 an independent National Anti-Doping Panel panel fully lifted the suspension.
However, Eubank seemingly isn't allowing his opponent to move on, and on Thursday in London he said he would slap him again if given the chance.
"Have I crossed the line? I mean, during this whole process over the last two-and-a-half years, I think many lines have been crossed," Eubank said.
"Me throwing an egg at somebody who absurdly claims that that was the reason he failed two drugs tests, because of contaminated eggs, I think that's life.
"And I think that's deserved. He deserved the embarrassment of what happened. If I had an opportunity to do it again, I would."
