Chris Eubank Jr. has hit out at the six-figure fine he has been handed for slapping Conor Benn with an egg, as they prepare for this month's blockbuster bout in London, live on DAZN PPV, buy now here.
The pair will headline at The Ring's Fatal Fury - City of the Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as they look to settle their differences in a major grudge match encounter.
The duo, sons of former rivals Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn, met at a press conference in March where Eubank Jr. struck Benn with a raw egg, sparking a fracas.
The British Board of Boxing Control handed down a £100,000 fine to the star as a result, but speaking out on the incident now, the middleweight feels the punishment does not fit.
"We are dealing with the situation," Eubank Jr. told Sky Sports News. "£100,000 for throwing an egg seems a little bit strong.
"Especially looking at what others have been fined for what would seem to be much more serious incidents over the years.
"I don't think anyone's got anywhere close to a £100,000 fine. Tables being thrown, people getting punched in the face, slapped in the face. We will deal with the situation."
On Benn, Eubank Jr suggested that his foe does not know how to measure his temper, and suggested it is a trait he has inherited from his father, adding: "He's an aggressive guy.
"He's an emotional guy. He doesn't know how to be calm. How to be collected. How to think before he speaks. He's his father's son. They're hotheads."
Fight fans are in for a treat at the end of April / start of May, with three amazing fight cards within seven days - and DAZN PPV is the only place to watch them all.
Arch rivals Eubank Jr. and Benn finally go head-to-head to start the exhilarating week, with PPV prices at £21.99 in the UK; $24.99 in the US; €24.99 in Europe.
Garcia vs. Romero and Canelo vs. Scull fight nights follow, which will both be exclusively on DAZN. These two PPV's prices are yet to be confirmed
