Former world cruiserweight champion Johnny Nelson has picked his winner for Saturday's IBF heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker.
Dubois and Parker meet in the co-main event of Riyadh Season's Last Crescendo event which will be broadcast live on DAZN PPV.
While the undisputed light heavyweight title fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol headlines the fight card of the century, Dubois-Parker is generating plenty of excitement amongst the boxing world.
This is because this IBF heavyweight title contest sees two in-form operators go head-to-head.
Despite Parker beating Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang in his previous two fights, Johnny Nelson did highlight that a younger Dubois is a different challenge altogether and believes that this could have a huge influence on the result in the Saudi Arabian capital.
"Parker's boxing ability and skills got him through those fights but Dubois is a completely different animal than Zhang and Wilder," Nelson told BetUK.
"He has power, pace, he keeps up pressure throughout every round, and the natural raw strength which will make it hard for Joseph Parker to get away with what he did with Zhang and Wilder, who are past their best. It is an exciting fight but I think Dubois will win.”
When asked to give an exact method of victory for Dubois, Nelson gave the following prediction.
"My prediction is Daniel Dubois wins with a late stoppage."
If Dubois does indeed win by within the scheduled 12-round distance, it will be Parker's second loss by knockout after losing by the same method to Joe Joyce in 2022.
