The IBF heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker could be in doubt according to reports from The Ring magazine.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday as a part of Riyadh Season's Last Crescendo card live on DAZN PPV, this fight would see two of the heavyweight division's in-form fighters clash in Saudi Arabia.

However, it has been reported that Dubois has fallen ill just two days before fight night, and is currently being evaluated by a doctor who will determine whether he is fit to compete.

"The Ring has learned that IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois is sick and is currently being evaluated by a doctor," said a post from The Ring Magazine's X account.

"A replacement is being pursued in the event that Dubois is unable to move forward with his defense against Joseph Parker on Saturday night."

This is not the first instance of this particular card being hit with illness.

WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson was set to face Floyd Schofield on Saturday night. However, the latter was taken ill at the start of fight week and was withdrawn from the contest after a medical examination by the British Boxing Board of Control.

As a result, Stevenson will now face replacement Josh Padley before Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol go head-to-head once more for undisputed light heavyweight glory.
