Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr.'s long-awaited grudge match feels like the trilogy clash their fathers never had, suggests Eddie Hearn before their bout live on DAZN .
The two men meet The Ring's Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26, with the former stepping up two divisions for a middleweight clash.
It follows two legendary fights between Chris Eubank Sr. and Nigel Benn in Birmingham and Manchester three decades ago, which have lived on in British boxing history.
Speaking before Tuesday's press conference - which turned into a fracas after Eubank Jr. slapped Benn across the face with an egg - Hearn spoke about the legacy of the occasion.
"I think Eubank and Benn was probably the greatest rivalry ever in British boxing and I think it was because of their personality," he told DAZN .

"They were very different in many ways. I think Eubank got under the skin of Benn. It seemed that whenever they were around each other, the intensity would turn up.
"The two fights were unforgettable. But the trilogy never happened, This kind of feels like the trilogy. It's bizarre we're sitting here ahead of what is really Eubank-Benn 3."
On whether he sees much difference between the two pairs of fighters, Hearn admitted that he can see the shape of the senior stars in the way their sons fight in the ring.
"The apple never falls far from the tree," he added. "I think everyone is like their dad. Sometimes, people just listen to my dad and they hear me.
"I watch Conor hitting pads, and I just think it is Nigel. Sometimes, I watch Eubank Jr's mannerisms, the way he swaggers about, and I think he's like his dad.
"I think every son is, in a way. Chris Eubank Sr. wasn't the most gifted fighter, but he was incredibly tough. The one thing I respect about Junior is that he's very tough.
"He's cut from a different cloth in respect to his dad, as where he has come from. But he has carried that toughness with him."
