DAZN analyst and former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton is looking forward to the "end of the road" fight between IBO super featherweight champion Anthony Cacace and Leigh Wood.
Taking place tonight, live on DAZN at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena, Cacace and Wood meet in a contest which many believe could be a Fight of the Year contender.
With his last two wins coming against Joe Cordina and Josh Warrington, Cacace is enjoying the most successful period as a boxer so far and is now looking to bring the curtain down on his opponent's career.
For Wood, this is his first outing since beating Warrington in October 2023, and there are concerns whether this long layoff will work against the former WBA featherweight champion.
In the build-up, Wood has been adamant the long absence will have no negative effects due to him continuing to live the life despite distractions away from the ring.
With Cacace and Wood both 36 years of age, there is not long left in their respective careers, with the loser likely to call time on their career.
This is an opinion which Frampton holds and believes that Wood may be struggling with the 130lb weight limit.
"It’s the end of the road for the loser," Frampton told DAZN News in an exclusive interview.
"I fancy Anthony Cacace, I know Leigh Wood, I think he’s a good fighter and a good guy. He hasn’t fought in a couple of years now; I think the weight might be hurting him a little bit.
"I’ve heard a few whispers about that and Cacace is riding the crest of a wave. They are similar ages, but Anthony is a lot fresher in terms of not having the hard fights, so for that reason I give Cacace the edge."
