Former Canelo Alvarez rival says he has dynamite in his hands after latest victory
Edgar Berlanga sent a stark reminder to the super-middleweight division as he produced a devastating performance to stop Jonathan Gonzalez Ortiz in the opening round.
The exciting Puerto Rican has promised to take that experience into future contests, and he did just that in his most recent outing as he demonstrated huge power and confidence.
Berlanga had been expected to win comfortably against Gonzalez Ortiz, but the manner of his victory will have made people take notice.

With every fighter chasing a showdown with Canelo, Berlanga will have to head in a different direction after falling short against the Mexican, but there are still big fights out there for him.
Several former world champions are currently plying their trade around 168lbs, and Berlanga could easily stake his claim for a world title shot against one of them.
Jaime Munguia is one target if he can get past Bruno Surace in a potential rematch later this year, and other options exist.
Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo could be other choices for Berlanga, and Berlanga has sent a major warning to his rivals.
“I’m on a different level now. I’m going to do the same thing to Plant, Munguia, Charlo. I got dynamite in these hands,” said Berlanga when speaking to iFLTV.
“Like what Floyd Mayweather told me. ‘You got dynamite in those hands, just let them s--- fly; nobody is going to stand there with you. You hit too hard, you’re too smart. IQ.'”
