'A new era!' - Frank Warren ready for DAZN dance as Joe Joyce and Filip Hrgovic face crucial bout
Frank Warren has hailed "a new era" for Queensberry Promotions with DAZN, and says Joe Joyce and Filip Hrgovic "know what is at stake" before their bout live on DAZN .
The pair are the headliners at Heavy Impact this weekend , the first bill in a partnership between the global streamer and the promotion, at Manchester's Co-op Live.
It marks the start of a new chapter for both organisations, and further cements DAZN as the home of boxing, as Warren looks to further build his famous stable.
Speaking at Thursday's press conference , the veteran promoter hailed the event, while stressing both Joyce and Hrgovic know what they must do to win in this clash.
"Saturday is a new era for us, a new challenge with DAZN," he said. "It will be seen all around the world. It is a great showcase for the fighters.
"We're competitive, and on DAZN, we aim to be the best. The main event is a cracker of a fight. There's jepoardy for the loser. The winner will go on.
"But I think the loser will have a hard task to get themselves back into the mix at the top. We know what's on the line and they know that better than anybody else in a room.
"One of them is going to go on, the other one's not. I'm looking forward to it. They have unbelievable pedigrees. Who's going to stay at the top table?
"We'll find out on Saturday night. Both of them know what they've got to do. They both know what is at stake on Saturday night, and what's at stake is their futures."
