Frank Warren eyeing 'a bit of spice' in David Adeleye-Jeamie Tshikeva blockbuster battle
Frank Warren anticipates "a bit of spice" when David Adeleye and Jeamie Tshikeva go head-to-head on the undercard of Joe Joyce against Filip Hrgovic live on DAZN .
The two meet at Heavy Impact this Saturday , the first card in a major deal between the broadcaster and Queensberry Promotions, at Manchester's Co-op Live.
With both men seeking to cement their place among the rising ranks of the heavyweight division in a British title fight, tensions boiled over at a press conference .
Tshikeva flipped a table and both men had to be kept apart by security, with Warren asked about his thoughts afterwards as he prepares to showcase their talents.
"I don't want to see it happen at all, especially when you're sitting at one," he told media. "But it was what it was. For me, I spoke for everybody. It has a bit of spice to it.
Where it's all going to count is in the ring on Saturday. We've got the British heavyweight title, and there's obviously no love lost between the two of them.
"The winner of that, more importantly, will go on and fight for the European [title] and hopefully get into the top ten. There's different levels."
Warren further reiterated that it is the last-chance saloon for Joyce and Hrgovic as contenders at the top table too, amid an increasingly younger and crowded division.
"[It is] two guys who've got the most unbelievable amateur background, and have also been fabulous professionals, in a fight of jepoardy," he added,
"I don't see where the loser is going to get himself back into the mix with all these youngsters that are around, and all the guys coming through. It's got to be a win-win fight."
