Queensbury Promotions founder and chairman Frank Warren has hinted that Fabio Wardley's next fight will be one for the ages.

Heavyweight Wardley, 18-0-1, is itching for his next big shot, after demolishing rival Frazer Clarke in brutal fashion in October with a first round knockout .

IBF World champion Daniel Dubois, Anthony Joshua, and WBA Regular world title Kubrat Pulev have all been linked with Wardley, but an official announcement has yet to be made as to who he will actually fight next.

On the day Queensbury and DAZN revealed their first fight schedule of their new broadcast partnership, Warren also teased a mouthwatering contest for the 30-year-old.

The partnership begins on Saturday, April 5 at the Co-op Live in Manchester, as Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce headline a spectacular heavyweight evening.

In the co-main event Lawrence Okolie faces Richard Riakporhe, while David Adeleye and Jeamie 'TKV' Tshikeva go toe-to-toe. Olympian Delicious Orie will make his professional debut on the same card.

Now these fights have been announced, it appears it will not be long until Wardley's future is cleared up too.

Speaking live on DAZN, with a big smile on his face, Warren said: "You wait until we announce Fabio's next fight. I'm telling you, you are going to love it.

"It is going to be extra special. Fabio is the man and deserves this next big fight.

"We [Queensbury] are the home of heavyweight boxing. The champion who has the three belts [Oleksandr Usyk] - if he wants to defend them, then he's got to defend them against our guys. So we've got everything here and it all on DAZN too. It is very exciting times for us and our fighters."

For Wardley, he is well aware the importance of picking the next right battle and not rushing into the wrong option.

"I need to keep the momentum going, that's the plan. I want to be in big fights and be in the big events. I want it being my banner coming up [headlining an event] and everyone looking at my fight with real excitement.

"With Frank, myself and my management team we are working very well as a team in lining up my career path and next fight. We are all aligned.

"We've discussed a good few opponents I could face, have narrowed them down and now it is just finalising the details.

"I feel in a fantastic place right now, I'm in the best place with Queensbury for heavyweight fighters. So I feel in safe hands and I feel very good."
