Skye Nicolson has claimed that she was not at her best in her loss to Tiara Brown in Sydney on Saturday night.

Appearing on the undercard of George Kambosos vs Jake Wyllie at the Qudos Bank Arena, Nicolson was making the third defence of the WBC women's featherweight title.

Nicolson started the fight strongly and was in control, but as the rounds ticked by Brown came into her own and dragged Nicolson into a dog fight.

In the end, it was Brown who produced the upset with a split decision win.

Reflecting on the loss in an interview with Ring Magazine, Nicolson believed that she could definitely perform better and is eager to face Brown in a rematch.

"For sure, I think she definitely didn’t get the best of me tonight," Nicolson said.

"There’s a much better version of me and I would obviously love the opportunity to. I gave her this opportunity; I would love the opportunity for a rematch as well.

"I need to regroup with my team and see where we went wrong, but I would definitely love to have the rematch."
