Eddie Hearn is eager to make the rematch between Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen, but only if the agreement makes sense.
Fisher and Allen met on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk's rematch win over Tyson Fury in December, and the heavyweight contest delivered.
The 'Romford Bull' appeared to be in control until Allen registered a knockdown in the fifth. It was then one-way traffic for the rest of the contest with Allen dominating.
However, after 10 hard-hitting, brutal rounds, Fisher was declared the winner by split decision, a result which was disputed by fans watching around the world.
Now a rematch appears to be the next logical option for both men, but when speaking to The Stomping Ground, Hearn made it clear that the right deal needs to be in place before making a heavyweight fight which has a lot at stake.
"I want the fight, the problem is no one really understands the numbers," Hearn said.
"So you can pluck a number out of the sky you think you should get for the fight, but if the show doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t work financially, then I’m not sure we can do it.
"I'm not saying Dave has outpriced himself because I haven’t spoken to him about numbers yet."
While Hearn has not made contact with Allen's camp, he has been speaking with Fisher about what's next and revealed that he wants a second meeting with Allen next.
"I had a meeting with Johnny yesterday and he wants the rematch, but it’s got to work for everybody," Hearn continued.
"Hopefully we get it done, but maybe we do another fight first and then do Dave Allen after.
"But I think if Johnny Fisher gets his way, it will be Dave Allen next.
"I will make an offer for Dave Allen next, and it will be substantially more than what he got last time."
