'Super great' Terence Crawford can topple Canelo Alvarez, says former world champion
Terence Crawford can be a "super great" according to Amir Khan, who expects the American to challenge "superstar" Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez when they meet later this year.
The pair are expected to meet this September in what will be one of the most highly anticipated bouts of 2025, as the Mexican faces off with another major pound-for-pound player.

Both men are quadruple champions, holding world titles in four different weight classes at one point or another, and can finally settle a decade-long debate when they face off.
Now Khan, the ex-light welterweight champion who faced both in his boxing days, has weighed in on their upcoming encounter, suggesting Crawford may have the keys to victory.
"I think Crawford has his number," he told Spinbit. "He is a big welterweight and when I was sparring with him, he was so big, thick and strong and was hard to push away.

"He is fundamentally a great fighter, but his body structure is very heavy, and he hits hard so it’s not like he is going to be outweighed by Canelo.
"I lean towards Crawford because he is a bit fresher and has a lot more left in him which can get him the win against Canelo but let’s see. I could be wrong but that’s how I feel.
"I have seen Crawford fight, even against Israil Madrimov, he still has the speed, power, reaction times and keeps stepping up. He is a great but wants to become a super great.
"Even when he fought Errol Spence, people thought it would be close, but it was a one-sided fight and he [...] destroyed him. Then he moved up to 154lbs and got the win."
