Former Chris Eubank Jr rival reacts to 'hilarious' Conor Benn egg slap
Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan, a former rival of Chris Eubank Jr, saw the funny side of the Conor Benn egg slap this past Tuesday.
The build-up is officially underway for Eubank Jr and Benn's fight on April 26 which will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with another press conference scheduled for Thursday evening.
The two bitter rivals faced each other in front of the world's media in Manchester on Tuesday night, and the event will be remembered for Eubank Jr slapping Conor Benn with an egg during the face off.
This incident has divided opinion amongst the boxing world, but O'Sullivan, who is no stranger to crazy pre-fight antics, enjoyed what transpired at Manchester Central.
"It reminded me of when I kissed him [Eubank Jr] at a press conference before our fight," O'Sullivan told Betway.
"It creates a lot of public interest, and my friend sent me the video from YouTube.
"I think Conor Benn is a bit of a drama queen to be honest. I thought it was funny; Conor gets stirred up quite easily. It was f—g hilarious. It was very well calculated by Chris Eubank Jr. To have some eggs in his pocket is funny s—t."
O'Sullivan's infamous kiss with Eubank Jr came ahead of their fight at London's O2 Arena in 2015.
The two fought on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's heavyweight clash with domestic rival Dillian Whyte.
Eubank Jr was the victor against O'Sullivan with the latter forced to retire in the seventh round of their contest with the result being the second defeat of O'Sullivan's career.
