Fabio Wardley is expecting Johnny Fisher to learn from his mistakes and triumph in his rematch against Dave Allen

The pair will meet tonight, live on DAZN, at London's Copper Box Arena with Fisher's army of fans set to create a memorable atmosphere.

The first encounter between Fisher and Allen was overshadowed by controversy. Meeting in December on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk's rematch with Tyson Fury in Riyadh, Allen managed to knock down Fisher in the fifth round with many assuming that would be enough for the 'White Rhino' to secure the victory.

However, after 10 hard hitting rounds, two of the three ringside judges scored the fight in Fisher's favour, a verdict which has been disputed by a number of prominent figures in world boxing.

As the opening bell inches ever closer, former British heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley gave his prediction for the rematch.

"I think Johnny, I think he’s younger, fresher. He can absorb a lot more in the sense of he’s got a lot more to learn from," Wardley told The Stomping Ground

"I can almost compare it to the first Frazer [Clarke] fight. That was completely new for me in the moment, I learnt from all of that. I can speak first hand with how much I actually did learn from that first fight, how to pace a fight, how to pace your rounds.

"All those things Johnny will now have known and felt, and thought ‘I wish I did this, I wish I did that’. I believe he’s a smart lad and he can look at those things for himself and go ‘Right these are the improvements I need to make’."

Wardley's first fight with Frazer Clarke in March 2024 for the former's British heavyweight title was an all-out war with the bout being ruled a split decision draw. A rematch followed seven months later with Wardley stopping Clarke in the first round

Now Wardley is looking to put himself in a position to challenge for a world title when he faces Justis Huni for the WBA's interim heavyweight title on June 7 and it will be broadcast live on DAZN
