Frank Warren is in no rush to confirm Derek Chisora’s next move and he has urged his heavyweight charge to take a well deserved rest.

Chisora was in action this past weekend in front of a loud crowd at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena as he scored an impressive win over Otto Wallin

The durable Swede was expected present Chisora with a serious test, but it was clear from the outset that Chisora was the better fighter

Defying pre-fight odds that had him a significant underdog, Chisora started fast and his aggression put him well in front on the scorecards.

As the fight progressed, Chisora enjoyed more success, and he put the final result beyond doubt when he dropped Wallin twice before winning on the scorecards.

Immediately after the fight, Chisora, joined by members of the British hip-hop scene, asked the audience who they wanted him to fight next.

Chisora provided three options as held images of Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois, and Anthony Joshua above his head aiming to figure out who drew the biggest reaction.

His next fight, number 50, is intended to be his last contest and Warren, once again Chisora’s promoter, has offered his thoughts on the matter.

“What is next for Derek? We’ll have to wait and see because he does need a good, long rest at the moment,” said Warren when speaking in his Queensberry column

“He is in a strong position with the IBF so he does have options, but the heavyweight landscape is a very changeable terrain at the present time, so we shouldn’t rush into anything.

“What I do know is that Derek must get to 50 and then declare. These fights take a lot out of boxers and Derek has had a great run. Remember, I said he should have called it a day a couple of years ago, but a fighter knows when his or her time is up. Reaching 50 must be the finish line though.”
