Lennox Lewis names the fighter he thinks can beat Oleksandr Usyk, but is it Daniel Dubois?

Lennox Lewis believes Daniel Dubois can cause a huge shock later this year when he steps into the ring with Oleksandr Usyk for a second time

Dubois and Usyk will meet in a huge rematch just two years after Usyk retained his world titles with an impressive stoppage over the current IBF ruler

Usyk dropped Dubois twice, but the fight is perhaps remembered more for the shot Dubois dropped Usyk with that was eventually called a low blow by the bout’s referee.

Since the Usyk setback, Dubois has been on an incredible run that saw him stop a number of top contenders including Anthony Joshua.

Dubois blasted his way past his domestic rival in five one-sided rounds last September and that win has now set him up to challenge Usyk with all four heavyweight belts up for grabs.

Lewis, a former undisputed world champion at heavyweight, is impressed with what he has seen from Dubois in recent fights, and he is confident that the London man can emulate him by becoming division ruler on July 19, live on DAZN

“I’m thinking he’s ready. He’s been through the trials and tribulations. He’s the king slayer. He’s got the power. He’s been there before,” said Lewis when speaking to Queensberry

“He was just there, he knocked [Usyk] down, so he knows what he needs to do. It would be great for him to do it, another man from Great Britain.

“It’s not an easy task, but he’s definitely the man that can go through with it. He’s done the work. He’s gone through the pedigree. He’s a certified world champion and I think he has big hopes on doing it. He’s going to do it.”
