Nick Ball continued his impressive run at featherweight this past weekend when he retained his WBA title against TJ Doheny

Ball was in control for large portions of the bout and his dominance was confirmed when Doheny remained on his stool at the end of the tenth round.

In the immediate aftermath of the fight, the attention switched to a future showdown with Naoya Inoue and Ball has stated that he is ready for that challenge.

As well as Inoue, several other options exist for Ball with numerous unification opportunities against top fighters being available for the Liverpool man.

One choice for Ball could be a former rival of Inoue with Stephen Fulton currently holding the WBC crown at featherweight.

In 2023, Fulton tried to become the first man to defeat the Japanese monster, but his efforts were nullified by Inoue who stopped the Philadelphia fighter

Fulton has rebounded well to become a world champion at featherweight, and he is very much a target for Ball who is aiming for further glory.

“Get the belts first. I'm speaking about a man that is not even in my weight. He's at super bantamweight,” said Ball when discussing his targets with BoxingScene

“So when he’s in my weight, obviously we'll speak about it, but for now, I'm focused on the other belts. What I want, I want to become undisputed. So get them belts and then if he moves up, he moves up.”

“It should be my belt, the green and gold one, WBC. I think Fulton's got that. So that'd be a good fight to make and be involved in. I'd like that.”
