Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn have both promoted many of the biggest names to ever compete inside a British boxing ring.

With both promoters now sharing the same broadcaster in DAZN, the pair have put behind them many years of rivalry and now their feud is a friendly one with both still looking to put on the best shows.

In a recent sit-down interview with Boxnation, both boxing figureheads were interviewed regarding a series of fantasy fights.

One of those contests was a fascinating clash around welterweight between Ricky Hatton and Kell Brook.

Warren played a pivotal role in the rise of Hatton, and he was able to guide him towards a world title shot against Kostya Tszyu in 2005.

In front of a sold-out Manchester Arena, Hatton produced one of the greatest ever performances in a British ring as he scored a memorable late stoppage.

Yeras later, Brook was hoping to replicate the great form of Hatton when he travelled to America in 2014 to challenge Shawn Porter.

Brook was successful in California after Hearn had landed him a battle with Porter and the pair would enjoy many more great nights.

Discussing the outcome of who would come out on top, Warren and Hearn both delivered their verdict.

“Ricky at his best was better than Kell at his best,” said Warren when discussing the match-up.

Hearn disagreed, “I think Kell at his very best would beat Ricky Hatton but it’s a tremendous fight. It would have to be the Kell Brook that beat Shawn Porter in Los Angeles when he was absolutely dialled in.”

Warren responded, “At his best, it would have to be Ricky Hatton who defeated Kostya Tszyu who was pound-for-pound number one.”
