Anthony Joshua is siding with Johnny Fisher as the Essex man gets ready to face Dave Allen in an immediate rematch from their first encounter last December.
Heading into the contest, Fisher was an overwhelming favourite and although he began the fight well, after being dropped in the bout’s fifth round, Allen took over in the second half.
With the controversy surrounding the scorecards the biggest talking point in the immediate aftermath, it appeared likely that a sequel between the heavyweight contenders would happen at some point this year and it finally goes down this weekend, live on DAZN, from the Copper Box Arena in London.
Once again, Fisher goes into the contest a decent favourite, but can he learn from his mistakes from the first fight with the battle taking place just five months after their first meeting?
Allen has his backers, but Joshua, the former two-time heavyweight champion of the world, believes that Fisher can get the job done.
“I can’t wait for this one. I rate both of them,” said Joshua when replying to a social media message from Matchroom Boxing.
"Dave is more experienced, but Johnny has a heap of potential. If I had to pick a winner, I’m going with Johnny to show his potential to the world. Let’s go!”
