Pat Brown will get his professional career underway when he headlines in Manchester against Federico Grandone, live on DAZN, on March 28.
The decorated amateur, who represented his country at the 2024 Olympics, has created a small buzz since signing with Matchroom and plenty are excited to see what all the fuss is about.
Sam Jones, the manager of Brown, has recently stated that he believes his fighter will be world champion in two years, and it is not just Jones who admires the big puncher.
Tony Bellew, who won WBC honours in Brown’s weight class, cruiserweight, is also excited to see what Brown can bring to the fight game.
Manchester is currently buzzing with excitement regarding Brown’s imminent debut, and he has been putting in the work with Jamie Moore overseeing his development.
“I’ve seen bits of Brown when he was an amateur and it is no surprise that he’s been spoken about so highly,” said Bellew during an exclusive interview with DAZN News.
“Eddie, Sam, and Jamie all know the sport and they’re massive on him so with that type of backing, let’s see what this kid can do.
“He’s a puncher, he’s exciting, and he’s hungry. Manchester has got a proud history when it comes to boxing so let’s hope that Pat Brown can be part of that and bring big nights to the place. I’m looking forward to Friday and seeing him up close.”
